What is Pilates?
Pilates emphasises your body’s core, the abdomen, abdominal oblique muscles, lower back, inner and outer thighs, glutes (bottom), as well as contributing muscles throughout the sequences of exercises. Pilates develops strength,flexibility, muscular endurance, coordination, balance and good posture, with a much lower chance of injury than other forms of exercise. These movements accentuate correct form and technique. With many variations and progressions this can suit all levels of experience, while providing options of intensifying the workout.

Pilates movements require you to engage almost your whole body and requires lots of concentration. At times, you may try to strengthen one muscle while stretching another. Pilates teaches you to think about how you use your muscles during your workout for improved function in daily life and in other forms of physical exercise.

Classes are $17.50 for a casual session or purchase a block of 10 classes for $150.00.
